What is a Tool Box?
The “toolbox” in this program isn’t a physical box — it’s a way of describing all the resources, training, and support that the Young Adult Program gives young adults to help them succeed in work and life. Think of it like this: when you’re starting a job or figuring out your future, it helps to have the right tools. This program helps you build a personal toolbox filled with:
Job Help (Ready, Set, Get Hired)
Pick up the tools that will help you level up your career!
- One-on-One Career Coaching – Get expert advice and personalized guidance to help you map out your next career move.
- Job Search Support – We’ll connect you to local job opportunities that fit your skills and interests.
- Resume Building – Whether it’s your first resume or an update, we’ll help you create one that grabs employers’ attention.
- Interview Practice – Build confidence with mock interviews and insider tips to ace the real thing.
- Application Assistance – Feeling stuck with forms? We’ll guide you through every step of the process.
- Job Retention Tips – Learn how to not only get hired but stay employed and thrive in your new role.
Paid Work Opportunities (Start Earning While You’re Learning)
- On-the-Job Training (OJT) – Get paid while learning new skills at a real job. Employers train you while you earn money.
- Internships & short-term work – Try out a job or industry before committing long-term.
Help with Career Training (Find the Right Program for Your Future)
Train for real careers without the college debt:
- Medical Assistant Training – Work in clinics or hospitals helping patients.
- Welding Program – Learn hands-on skills that can lead to high-paying trade jobs.
- Upskilling opportunities – Build new skills or grow the ones you already have so you can move up in your career.
- Other trainings may be available depending on your interests and local options.
Personal Growth (Real Talk, Real-Life Skills, Be the Best Version of Yourself)

Who is this program for?
Young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 who are out of school or nearing graduation and want help finding a job, gaining work experience, or exploring career training options.
Does it cost anything to join?
Nope! The program is completely free.
Do I need to have job experience to qualify?
Not at all. This program is designed to help you even if you’ve never had a job before.
What kind of jobs can I get help finding?
Jobs vary, but staff help match you with local opportunities based on your interests, skills, and goals — including entry-level positions and career-path jobs.
What is On-the-Job Training (OJT)?
OJT lets you earn a paycheck while learning new skills at a real job. The employer trains you, and you get paid during the learning process.
What if I don’t know what I want to do yet?
That’s totally okay. A career advisor will help you explore your interests and figure out what might be a good fit.
What is Career Technical Education (CTE)?
CTE includes short-term, hands-on training in specific careers like Medical Assisting or Welding — and this program can help you access these trainings at little or no cost.
